HISTORY

Signs and Wonders Ministries (SWM) was conceived in the hearts of Pastor David and Dr. Laura Taylor in 1997. The first service was held on May 3, 1998, at the American Legion building on Flatfoot Road in Stony Creek, VA. SWM held services at various locations in the Stony Creek area until approximately 2008. Upon leaving Stony Creek, VA, SWM began having services in the cafetorium at Marguerite Christian Elementary School in Chesterfield County, VA. The ministry continued to grow and transition and moved to a meeting room at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Colonial Heights, VA until April 2014.

As the pastor and members of SWM continued to seek God for a home for the ministry, they were blessed to find a building at 13400 Jefferson Davis Highway in Chester, VA. After renovating and remodeling the building, SWM held its first service at their new location on September 21, 2014. The ministry remained at this location until churches were mandated to close their doors during the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. SWM held services virtually during the pandemic.

On February 9, 2022, God blessed SWM to close on its church property at 6415 Irongate Drive in Chesterfield, VA. The church building underwent major renovations, and SWM relaunched the ministry at a grand opening service on May 15, 2022. To date, the ministry continues to grow in quality as well as quantity. To God be the glory for the great things that He has done and will continue to do for Signs and Wonders Ministries.
